I’ve been a designer for 18+ years and still love being hands-on and immersed in the craft. I’m a UX generalist that works end to end, but my natural specialism lies in UI, interaction and systems design, given my deep-rooted visual design origins.
In recent years I’ve become more involved in the strategic arm of UX:
- Influencing wider teams to empathise, experiment & evaluate
- Improving product & service delivery with tech & ops teams
- Turning tangled systems & legacy platforms into robust, reusable patterns that harmonise & scale
- Sharing a vision & future state to solve customer pain points with longer-term thinking
- Setting up design teams & designers for success
- Exploring new ways to collaborate with product teams to generate better outcomes
My experience spans dozens of sectors, but food service & hospitality, omnichannel retail & ecommerce, and travel & tourism are the industries where I’ve had the greatest success in terms of commercial outcomes.
